One of AUK’s favourite singer-songwriters, who is also an artist and best-selling author, Josh Ritter, will tour the UK and Ireland early next year, following his last album, I Believe In You, My Honeydew. The tour kicks off in Leeds on January 28th, takes in London’s Barbican on January 30th, and finishes in Groningen (NL) on February 17th. Always a storyteller, Josh’s live shows are a showcase of his “lyrical depth, poetic turn of phrase, imaginative subject matter and melodic sophistication” according to The Telegraph. Anyone who has seen him live knows that he’s funny, literate, and full of stories. He has, so far, released thirteen studio albums with artists like Dylan, Joan Baez, and Bob Weir covering his songs.
In addition to his work as a musician, sharing stages with the likes of John Prine and Jason Isbell, Ritter is also a national best-selling author, having published two well-received novels: Bright’s Passage in 2011 and The Great Glorious in 2021.Tickets for the tour went on sale today at 10 am.
