Authorities in the Bahamas have taken a 59-year-old American man into custody as the search continues for his missing wife, Lynette Hooker, who vanished during a late-night boat trip near Elbow Cay. The man, identified by his attorney as Brian Hooker, was arrested Wednesday by the Royal Bahamas Police Force. His lawyer, Terrel A. Butler, said Hooker “categorically and unequivocally denies any wrongdoing” and has been cooperating with investigators. A partial collapse at a parking garage under construction in Philadelphia has left one person dead and two others still missing, as emergency crews continue a difficult and time-sensitive search operation. The incident unfolded around 2:17 p.m. on April 8 at a job site in the Grays Ferry neighborhood near 30th Street and Grays Ferry Avenue.
