Slowly Slowly are back with their new single, Sacrosaint.
The new single is the first release from the Aussies since their 2025 debut Forgiving Spree and is as emotionally charged as ever, with a hair-raising performance from vocalist Ben Stewart.
“Sacrosaint is about the things that we’ve taken for granted, the things that have been sacrosanct in the past, and how we always think they’re going to be there. In that laziness, you’re watching the pillars of what holds up your life and society erode,” says Ben.
“The good in the world felt like it was disappearing. It felt like a big warning sign – if we stop watering those things that are so important for our happiness, it’s over. So, it felt like a warning.”
On the video, he adds: “I knew exactly what I wanted for the video, which is unusual as I’m not a very visual creative. I needed apocalyptic, I needed the tension of the band performance backdrop in the middle of nowhere against the feeling of intense movement. The two videos I had in my head as inspiration were Scar Tissue by Red Hot Chili Peppers and Minerva by Deftones.”
