The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour concludes in Kuala Lumpur as the highest-grossing tour by a male solo artist. Hong Kong has also returned to the China streaming charts.
The Weeknd closed his After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour in KL at the TM Stadium Nasional on 5th November. The final figures for the tour are that it has grossed over US$1.3bn and sold over 9 million tickets across 176 shows in 67 cities, 30 countries and five continents.

Over $500m of that was in 2026 alone according to the tour’s figures. The first Asian leg went from 11 dates to 17 sold out stadium shows (including four nights at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium which sold nearly 200k tickets). The tour’s final announcement also included $8.5m in contributions to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen for hunger relief and education.
The Weeknd premiered Hong Kong on the night of October 24 (the first night at Kai Tak) and released it a week later. It samples both the music and the authentic Cantonese vocals from Faye Wong’s 1993 “Monsoon” (季候風), making it a new version of that track for the East and Southeast Asian market.
Hong Kong took the Hot Song, Surging and New Music charts on day one of its release according to the stats. It was the biggest debut for a Western male artist on QQ Music in streams, saves, comments, and shares.
Wong’s original was already gaining traction before the new single’s release. In the days following the live debut Monsoon hit No. 1 on the rising charts at both QQ Music and NetEase Cloud Music according to Universal Music Canada.
