Miss Kaninna returns with her long awaited mixtape BLACKPRINT, a fearless six track project capturing the joy, anger, freedom and frustration that have shaped her rapid rise.

Built largely from freestyles that evolved into fully formed songs through live performances around the world, BLACKPRINT draws heavily from old school hip hop while pulling in funk, soul, R&B, rock, punk, grunge and bass driven club sounds. Tracks including ‘MOB TIES’, ‘STOLEN WAGES’ and the title track showcase Miss Kaninna’s increasingly uncompromising approach, while Kobie Dee joins her on ‘LOOK AT ME NOW’ and Jamahl Yami features on ‘HANDOUT’.

Produced by Miss Kaninna with additional production from Lucy Blomkamp and executive production from Nikodimos, the mixtape follows her acclaimed, ARIA nominated 2024 EP KANINNA. For Miss Kaninna, the title carries a deeper meaning, describing the project as both a “blueprint for my life” and an expression of Aboriginal existence, while reflecting the confidence she has gained through travelling and performing internationally.

BLACKPRINT captures an artist increasingly willing to take risks, move away from what feels palatable and tell her truth on her own terms.
