West London alternative R&B artist CARI returns with ‘The Dealer’, a deeply personal new single that turns heartbreak and healing into one of her most emotive releases yet.
Produced by One Hand (Svn4vr) and PRGRSHN, the guitar led track gradually grows from a delicate soundscape into something fuller and more powerful, giving CARI space to confront past trauma while making room for something brighter. She explains: “The first lines of The Dealer were written last year on a solo trip to Mexico designed to heal my broken heart and finished here in London. This song narrates the experience I needed to get out of my system to make space for something lighter and kinder.”
‘The Dealer’ follows CARI’s acclaimed 2025 debut EP FLUX and continues a strong run that has included a Grammy acknowledgement for her contribution to Destin Conrad’s ‘Love on Digital’, touring Europe with Conrad, supporting KWN and Sasha Keable, and collaborations with Venna and Ambré. Rooted in the gospel, rare groove, lovers rock and R&B she grew up around in Shepherds Bush, CARI continues to carve out her own space as one of British alternative R&B’s most exciting emerging voices.
