North East Scotland rapper AK CEEZ returns on 28 August with new single “CAPITAL THOUGHTS”, the first taste of his forthcoming six track EP, Written In Granite.

Driven by gritty boom bap production, the track puts CEEZ’s lyricism firmly in the spotlight, combining dense rhyme schemes, sharp wordplay and the competitive energy that first drew him to hip hop. While “CAPITAL THOUGHTS” showcases his ability as a rapper, Written In Granite promises a more personal side, with CEEZ drawing on his upbringing in Buckie and the experiences that have shaped him.

“I love just rapping, playing with words, finding different pockets and writing bars people might need to run back,” he explains. “But I’m becoming more interested in what I can actually say through the music. I want people to hear the personality and the story behind it too.”

The single arrives just days before CEEZ heads to Glasgow for PITCH Scotland 2026, with Written In Granite marking the next stage of an artist increasingly focused on combining sharp bars with deeper storytelling.
