New Jersey alternative rock band Red Head Redemption package social anxiety, satire and big guitar hooks into new EP Sunny With A Chance Of Fallout.
Across four tracks, the band’s self-described “End of the World Rock” mixes crunchy guitars, driving drums and punk-pop immediacy with lyrics shaped by political instability, environmental anxiety and the weird normality of carrying on while everything feels increasingly unstable.
The concept starts with a fictional Nile Tech Industries ad promoting gas-mask discounts during a fallout warning under the slogan We Own Everything.
It introduces a satirical universe that the band plans to continue through future music videos, using corporate language and dystopian humour as part of the wider storytelling. The band explains:
We wanted to capture that feeling of looking around at everything happening in the world and thinking, “Well… I still have one life to live”. The songs embrace the chaos without giving up on having fun, making art, and finding connection.
Lead single Armageddon Beach Party pushes that idea hardest, pairing upbeat hooks with commentary around technological authoritarianism and social passivity.
Elsewhere, Race Against Time focuses on the pressure of living authentically before time runs out, while Jolene brings surf-rock energy into a more romantic corner of the band’s apocalyptic framework.
Produced by Doug Hallo, the EP features Kim Modica on vocals and lyrics, Chris Reith on lead guitar, Bryan Carroll on drums, Ken Rapsas on bass and harmony vocals, and Phil Curtis on rhythm guitar.
