There are ambitious acting performances—and then there are performances that seem almost impossible.
International award-winning actress Despina Mirou has accomplished exactly that in Scarface Resurrection, delivering three completely different performances in a single film. Appearing as herself, Tony Montana, and Michelle Pfeiffer’s unforgettable Elvira Hancock, Mirou has emerged as one of the production’s biggest revelations.

Filmed across New York City, Scarface Resurrection reunites members of the original Scarface legacy with an exciting new generation of performers. Mirou stars alongside Roberta Pacino, Steven Bauer, the late Ángel Salazar, Michael Musto, and a talented ensemble under the direction of Eric Spade Rivas.
Preparing for the role required extraordinary dedication. Mirou lost nearly 20 pounds to recreate Elvira’s distinctive appearance while spending weeks studying Tony Montana’s physicality, voice, and attitude. She even completed every makeup transformation herself, stunning cast and crew with her remarkable attention to detail.

Director Eric Spade Rivas encouraged Mirou to improvise throughout filming, allowing her instincts as both actress and storyteller to shape several memorable scenes.
The production quickly became a New York attraction as Mirou appeared throughout Manhattan in full costume as both Tony Montana and Elvira. Tourists stopped. Fans gathered. Cameras followed.
Then, after long filming days, Mirou took the performances one step further by appearing live at New York comedy clubs while remaining completely in character. Audiences at the Broadway Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Phoenix Bar & Grill, and The Producers Club watched in amazement as she seamlessly moved between comedy and dramatic characterization.

For many, Scarface Resurrection represents more than another film credit for Mirou. It marks the arrival of an actress capable of taking legendary cinematic icons and making audiences believe they have come to life once again.
