The Moshville Times – Undercroft sharpen their blades with new album The Killer Sword, title track video streaming nowAfter a fair bit of waiting and a couple of lead singles, Undercroft have finally unleashed their new studio record, The Killer Sword. Released through NB Extreme Recordings, this is a massive moment for the band as it marks the return of original vocalist Tito Melín to the full-length format—the first time we’ve seen him on a proper studio album since 1997’s Bonebreaker.

The album was recorded between Chile and Germany, with founding guitarist Claudio Illanes leading the charge on the technical and compositional side. It’s been given a proper professional polish, too, with Rafael Dobbs on production duties and mixing and mastering handled by the legendary Martin Furia of Destruction. The result is nine tracks of pure death metal that skips the easy nostalgia for a sharp, aggressive, and contemporary execution.

The Killer Sword is out now on all the usual streaming platforms and in physical formats through the label. The guys are also hitting the road in Germany to celebrate the release, starting in Kiel and wrapping up in Hamburg. We’re gutted there aren’t any UK dates on this run, but hopefully, they’ll be heading our way soon enough.
