Scranton, PA powerhouse Motionless In White have officially announced their seventh full-length offering, Decades, set for release on 17th July via Roadrunner Records. Celebrating over 20 years in the shadowy corners of alternative culture, the band describes the upcoming LP as a full-circle moment that incorporates their past, present, and future into one cohesive, aggressive sound.

To mark the announcement, the quintet has unleashed a ferocious new single titled “Playing God,” featuring a guest appearance from the legendary Corey Taylor. Frontman Chris Motionless describes the track as a commentary on toxic internet culture. “The internet has gotten worse and worse to the point where only negativity, hatred, and lies are at the forefront,” he observes. “I thought social media was supposed to be a mechanism to connect, but all it does is divide.”

Recorded in Upstate New York and Los Angeles with co-producers Drew Fulk and Justin “JD” deBlieck, Decades features an eclectic range of guests including Skylar Grey and Anthony Martinez of Dark Divine. Chris Motionless notes that the record is notably heavier than previous efforts, birthed from a world full of aggressive energy and resistance. Following the success of their previous work, the band continues to push their theatrical and dramatic boundaries without losing their D.I.Y. roots.

While the band is currently tearing through arenas across North America with Bring Me The Horizon and preparing for a massive summer headline tour with Lorna Shore and Static Dress, UK fans are eagerly awaiting news of a return to British shores. With a landmark anniversary to celebrate, it’s hopefully only a matter of time before these dates surface.
