New York born, UK based alternative R&B singer, songwriter and producer Tomás Doncker returns on 24 July with Alive In Paris, a live EP recorded at the legendary New Morning in Paris while touring with Fun Lovin’ Criminals.

Backed by The True Groove All Stars, the release captures the raw energy and musical chemistry that has made Doncker one of the most respected live performers on the international circuit. Blending soul, blues, funk, rock and jazz, the EP showcases songs that explore social justice, resilience and hope while celebrating the power of live music to bring people together.

A veteran of New York’s No Wave and Punk-Funk scenes, Doncker has spent more than four decades building a career that has seen him collaborate with artists including Patti Smith, Bootsy Collins, Meshell Ndegeocello, Ivan Neville and The Specials. His work has earned praise from BBC, MOJO, NPR, Rolling Stone and Blues & Soul among many others.

Alive In Paris follows February’s Paris inspired single ¡2 BEAUCOUP! and arrives after a memorable trip to the French capital that saw Doncker not only support Fun Lovin’ Criminals but also join Patti Smith on stage at L’Olympia for a performance of People Have The Power.

Reflecting on the project, Doncker describes Paris as “a magical city” and says recording there had long been a dream. To accompany the EP, he has also partnered with Version Music TV to release live studio performances of Hard Is Hard and Some Ol’ Dolls, filmed at Yellow Bean Studios in Leicester and released alongside the EP on 24 July.
