French American artist Cybèle returns with her latest single, ‘Lovergirl’, a dreamy blend of contemporary R&B and pop that explores the emotional balance between loving deeply and protecting your own peace.
Written alongside Grammy Award winning songwriter Tristan Rice (Chris Brown’s 11:11), the track delves into themes of self-worth, vulnerability and knowing when to let go. Wrapped in lush harmonies and atmospheric production, ‘Lovergirl’ showcases Cybèle’s expressive vocals and knack for turning personal experiences into relatable stories.
Raised between Paris, Beijing, Los Angeles and New York, Cybèle brings a global perspective to her music, blending modern R&B with orchestral influences, gospel warmth and vintage soul. A Harvard graduate currently completing a Master’s in Music at Berklee NYC, she’s also built an impressive creative career spanning composition, production and musical theatre.
With over 184,000 followers across social media, collaborations with brands including Prada Beauty and 88Rising, and recognition from the Grammy Museum and RFK Foundation, Cybèle continues to establish herself as one of pop and R&B’s most exciting emerging multidisciplinary artists.
Speaking about the single, Cybèle says: “‘Lovergirl’ is about the journey of pain, beauty and self-acceptance that comes with learning that love and discernment don’t always live in the same place. As women who love deeply, we have to learn to match our capacity for giving with our ability to recognise who is truly capable of receiving it.”
‘Lovergirl‘ is available to stream now.
