Country music superstar Shania Twain has been announced as the first headliner for State Fayre 2027, taking to the stage at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, on Saturday 19 June.

The Canadian singer, whose career-defining hits include Man! I Feel Like a Woman!, You’re Still the One and That Don’t Impress Me Much, is one of country music’s biggest international stars. With more than 100 million records sold worldwide, Twain has played a major role in bringing country music to mainstream audiences across the globe.

Her announcement follows a hugely successful debut for State Fayre in June 2026, when more than 50,000 festival-goers attended across three days. Headlined by Kings of Leon, Alanis Morissette and The Lumineers, the inaugural festival brought together country, Americana, folk and rock, with memorable performances from Kip Moore, Orville Peck, Stephen Wilson Jr., Sierra Ferrell, Molly Tuttle and rising British country star Kezia Gill.

As we noted in our review of State Fayre 2026, the festival successfully combined major international artists with emerging talent, Southern-inspired food, barbecue and fairground attractions, creating a distinctly American atmosphere in the Essex countryside. Twain’s headline appearance suggests organisers are continuing to build on that winning formula, this time placing one of country music’s most recognisable names at the top of the bill.

State Fayre 2027 takes place from 18–20 June, with further artists still to be announced.

Three-day festival passes and Saturday day tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday 6 November, while an exclusive PayPal presale opens at 9am on Wednesday 4 November, offering a limited allocation of tickets for up to 48 hours.

With Shania Twain leading the first announcement, State Fayre looks set to build on its impressive debut and further establish itself as a major fixture in the UK country music calendar.
