London-based indie-pop project L’extravagante recently dropped an atmospheric new dream-pop track titled “Carpenter”. The new single is their third of the year and is a fantastic example of what the outfit is all about, featuring cinematic sounds mixed with soaring vocals over a backing track that will have you tapping along in no time.

One thing I also loved was how the guitar sounds remind me of those ’80s hair-rock bands, with the glam-rock tones throwing me off a little bit while giving me a massive smile upon first listen. It’s the kind of sound that grips you within the first minute and keeps you locked in for the rest of the song.
With moody sounds, atmospheric moments, and Angela’s affirmational vocals giving you plenty of time to lean into the song, this genre-blurring effort is surely going to be one of their key tracks moving forward.
With a stretch of singles going back to 2023, this outfit seems like they know exactly what they’re doing now, and this track sounds like it could be the turning point for them. Be sure to keep an eye on them and check them out if you’re ever in London.
