Reading singer songwriter Lost Girl unveils her new EP EGO, a deeply personal 10 track exploration of heartbreak, jealousy, insecurity, sexuality and the emotional walls built in the aftermath of being hurt.

Blending alternative R&B with trap, electro and experimental production, EGO moves confidently between moods. Tracks including ‘WILD’, ‘D2F’ and ‘LUST’ lean into a darker, sensual side, while the Jersey club inspired ‘PINK CROCS/CRASH’ brings a burst of energy. Elsewhere, ‘PRETTY LIAR’, ‘WHAT WOULD YOU DO’, ‘ROMEO’ and ‘SOME NIGHTS’ pair Lost Girl’s emotive vocals with infectious songwriting and polished, atmospheric production. Lost Girl also takes a hands on role behind the scenes, earning co production credits across ‘NO EGO’, ‘PINK CROCS’, ‘NO LOVE’ and ‘WHAT WOULD YOU DO’.

Speaking about the project, she explains: “EGO is about the identity I created to protect myself from being hurt again. I used to be a lover girl but life made me hate the thought of trusting someone with my heart, so I became the monster that I was once scared of. This is the journey of how that came to be.”

Describing the record as her own definition of alternative R&B, Lost Girl points to an experimental, ethereal and moody sound rooted in melody and bass, with inspiration drawn from The Weeknd’s early House of Balloons era.

Already boasting more than 12 million global streams and a following of over half a million on TikTok, Lost Girl has steadily established herself as one of the UK’s exciting emerging R&B voices. With EGO, she pushes that sound further, delivering a vulnerable yet assured project built around lived experience, emotional honesty and a willingness to experiment.
