Toronto, Canada-born artist Tori Lord delivers a sharp and captivating pop statement with “Conman”. The new offering from the artist is a wonderful slice of everything she is about.

… acinematic and captivating pop track that showcases Tori Lord’s growing confidence as a solo artist.

Tori Lord delivers a sharp pop statement with Conman

The track has a cinematic opening, with her captivating vocals arriving shortly afterwards. It’s a pop track at its core, yet it has indie-pop sensibilities flowing throughout its three-minute runtime. The production is rather good as well, with some awesome vocal effects layered over cinematic percussive sounds that sweep into your ears with ease.

This song sounds to me like the kind of offering that would work perfectly for a poignant montage in the first third of a blockbuster film. It’s got that sort of atmosphere, that sort of vibe about it. With this being her fifth release and fourth full studio single since going solo in 2025, it’s certainly going to leave a mark on anyone who listens to it.
