One year on from her debut album 3XL, Nigerian R&B artist Rukmani returns with a confident double release that showcases both sides of her artistry.

Leading the drop is Serial Kisser, a flirtatious alternative R&B track featuring Boj, where Rukmani leans into playful sensuality and feminine control over a smooth afropop infused groove. Boj’s slick Yoruba and English delivery adds an effortless chemistry that makes the track feel intimate, magnetic and self assured.

Alongside it sits HIH (Hot In Here), a more introspective neo-soul offering originally written years ago and revisited with a renewed sense of confidence and maturity. The track captures the feeling of owning your presence without needing to announce it, a theme that runs through much of Rukmani’s evolving sound.

Together, both records highlight the Lagos based artist’s ability to move between vulnerability, sensuality and self possession while continuing to shape a distinctive blend of R&B, soul and afrobeats. Following projects like Angel On The Run and 3XL, this latest release further cements Rukmani as one of the more emotionally nuanced voices emerging from Nigeria’s alternative music scene.
