Jessie Reyez is extending A LITTLE VENGEANCE through a weekly run of bonus tracks, with new single SOFTER arriving ahead of the album’s deluxe edition on 6 November via FMLY/Island Records.

Titled A LITTLE VENGEANCE (is more human than no vengeance at all), the expanded release follows the emotional push and pull of the first: desire, vulnerability plus the urge to hit back. SOFTER joins MADE 4 THIS, SOVEREIGN LAND and FOR SIXXX IN THE MORNIN, featuring Samara Cyn, which centres on the pain of wanting a former lover.

The weekly rollout gives the additional material its own space before bringing it together as a longer project. Across the new songs, harder anthems sit alongside more melodic passages, extending the tension already heard between 99%, N.Y.F.F. and the Muni Long collaboration AIN’T U TIRED.

The release also coincides with the launch of Reyez’s A LITTLE VENGEANCE TOUR which kicks off in Seattle on the 3rd of November. The announcement lists sold out shows in LA, Chicago, Sacramento, Oakland, San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas, Washington DC and Boston.

Alongside the record, Reyez has launched the Jessie Reyez Fund with PLUS1 to expand access to music industry opportunities for women and historically underrepresented communities. The fund will also be involved in music initiatives around education, wellbeing and cultural preservation. Early work has already been done in the form of a partnership with Nando’s, which saw 500 meals donated.

With the tour beginning three days before the deluxe arrives, the additional songs will enter the live chapter almost immediately.
