Nashville-based atmospheric extreme metal project Conjurist have officially released their debut full-length studio album, I Am the Earth. The expansive new record showcases a unique sonic blueprint that aggressively fuses elements of melodic death metal, post-black metal, blackgaze, doom, and hardcore punk.
Masterminded and recorded by multi-instrumentalist Blake Bailey, the project explores heavy themes rooted in ancient mysticism, classical mythology, and the deep complexities of human emotion. To match the dense, layered textures of the music, the project pairs its tracks with striking, ritualistic visual identities, which notably include the band performing in arcane animal skull masks within their promotional videography.
The definitive tracking sessions for I Am the Earth were recorded entirely by Blake Bailey, with the final audio mixing and mastering production duties handled by engineer Robbie Bingham. The resulting collection delivers a seamless balance of technical, driving aggression and slow, doom-laden melodies.
I Am the Earth is officially out now and available for streaming on Spotify, as well as for digital purchase via the project’s official Bandcamp page.
