JayaHadADream brings her full live band to The Globe Cardiff for a special Tân Cerdd × Cardiff Music City Black History Month show.
Cambridge born Jamaican Irish rapper JayaHadADream is one of the most exciting voices emerging from UK rap, known for her introspective lyricism, raw storytelling and hard hitting sound rooted in grime and hip hop.
Her breakthrough came in 2024 when she won Glastonbury Festival’s Emerging Talent Competition, selected from thousands of entrants and earning a performance on one of the festival’s main stages alongside a £5,000 PRS Foundation Talent Development award.
Since then, Jaya has performed across some of the UK’s major music platforms, including Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds, Boomtown and SXSW London, with her music and performances receiving support across BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra and leading UK music media.
In 2025 she won two Youth Music Awards — Rising Star (Artist) and Lyricist — and was named Best Breakthrough MC/Vocalist at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards. Her continuing rise has also seen her nominated for Best Grime Act at the MOBO Awards.
Moving between vulnerability, sharp lyricism and explosive live energy, JayaHadADream comes to Cardiff with her full live band for an intimate headline performance at The Globe.
Expect an incredible night of live music, energy and community,
