Grime legend D Double E is heading to Bristol this Thursday (01.10.26) for an exclusive student-only party at Lakota, with Deliveroo and Wingstop joining forces for a one off night built around one question: can Bristol students master his legendary ad-libs?

Taking place on Thursday 1st October, the event will see students challenged to deliver everything from “bud-a-bup-bup” to the unmistakable “bluku bluku”, with free tickets up for grabs through surprise challenges taking place across Bristol’s streets and university campuses. D Double E will even be out in the city himself ahead of the show, handing out some of the final spots to those who can impress him.

Those who make it through the doors can expect DJs, free Wingstop wings and an exclusive live performance from one of grime’s most distinctive voices. From his days with N.A.S.T.Y. Crew and Newham Generals through to classics including “Street Fighter Riddim” and “Woo Riddim”, D Double E’s unmistakable flows and ad-libs have made him a cornerstone of UK grime for more than two decades.

“Bristol, what you saying? I’ve heard you lot think you can do the ad-libs, so I wanna hear it,” says D Double E. “Everyone knows the ‘bluku bluku’, but let’s see who can really shell it. Get yourselves ready, and I’ll see you at Lakota.”

A final limited number of tickets will also be available through a standby queue at Lakota on the night, where eligible students will get one last opportunity to nail an ad-lib and earn their way inside.

Bristol students must be members or have signed up to Deliveroo Students to be in with a chance of bagging themselves an exclusive free ticket.
